Just my luck....

so i was at work today. already feeling kind of iffy. trying to fight off a cold and just in general feeling blah. sidenote: i work in a pharmacy. i was putting some stuff on the shelf and all of a sudden i see this girl jet to the trash can. she didnt make ne noises or nething. but i seen what she was doing. i asked her if she was ok. she looked over her shoulder at me and shook her head no. i felt my stomach cut a flip. but then i got over it real quick. i had to walk by her to get back behind the counter. so i like almost ran by her. lol. bad i know. well i stayed in the back til she was gone. when i got back out front. OH MY GAH! IT STUNK so BAD! we immediately started spraying lysol. i went one with a bottle and another girl with another way a can of neutrair. another lady got some gloves and put the bag into a bigger bag and took that bag outside. the girl at the cash register wiped down the cash register and pen she used. and then to top it off. one of my coworkers said " ill be surprised if we make it thru this flu season" so that comment kind of put me over the edge. so negative. ugh. i just hope when she left she took her germs with her and didnt leave ne behind. thanks for listening yall

So horrible. I would tell myself that she is pregnant and does have anything you can catch. My daughters just threw up tonight and I can still smell it. I put on gloves and cleaned it up but I can not sleep because what if it happens again? What if I get sick?

I'm sure both of you will be fine. Like I'm sure you both know, you'll be fine as long as you don't put your hands in your mouth and keep good hygiene and everything.

As for the lady with the trash can, that would have freaked me out so much. You're really brave to have cleaned it up and everything, I'd have been in the back curled up in the corner, crying. Well done!

Yeah stuff like that also upsets me.... I hate seeing it happen and the smell..forget it. I fall into major panic.
You should be OK though, you didnt really touch it and if you kept your hands clean and all that hand to mouth contact..you should be fine.

How brave you were to not only stay put, but to ask her if she was ok. I would have run out of there & not gone back for the rest of the day.
