    Default Question, please help

    Hi everyone.

This morning I went to Mcdonalds and got an Egg Mcmuffin. I used to work there thus this is how I know some information. First, when they write the schedules they only write at the hour e.g. 10:00 am, 11:00 am. It's never 10:30 or whatever. It's right on the dot. Thus, this one manager gave me my food and touched my napkins with her hand. 2 hours later I the same exact managers car head somewhere at around 10:45 am. The Mcdonalds in my town opens at 5:00 am. She usually works from 5 am to 1 pm (the exact same manager who served my food). When I saw her car at 10:45 am heading somewhere I started to worry that she left work sick because she had a stomach virus. The only basis I have for this thought is she never returned to work because I checked. I base this all on the fact that I saw her car head somewhere at 10:45. I am terrified that she left work sick because she had a stomach virus. Can someone help me. I am seriously anxious over this. I know it sounds pretty stupid. However, I am really worried.

    Thanks.

    Ben

I totally understand why your mind would jump to that conclusion! Just try to think of all the other possible reasons why she could have left. There are endless reasons! I know its hard, but try to relax!

I have to leave work three times today -- at somewhere between 10 and 11, at noon, and again at 4 -- two to collect data, once to do a training. Granted none of these are things McDonald's employees would be doing, but I'm just pointing out that there are many reasons people would be driving around in the middle of the day. Plus, what if she's half time? She may only work from 5-10. She may do a split shift. There's no reason to assume there's anything wrong with her.

I know what you mean, I tend to jump to conclusions too, but 9 times out of 10, people leave work early because of a dentist`s appointment, or something like that.

People leave work for all sorts of reasons very few of which involve illness. Also, if she got sick at work, she'd leave immediately after being sick (and she left well after giving you your egg mcmuffin). If she was sick enough that morning to contaminate your breakfast, she wouldn't have come in.
