i was admitted to the hospital for severe stomach pain....i had to drink this stuff that made me feel sick and they are running more tests in the morning........very anxious

Ask for something for the nausea! Hospitals are really big on discomfort control (at least in my experience) and will give you an anti-emetic if you say you're feeling nauseated! Did you have to drink contrast? I have a few times, and it DID make me n*, didn't make me v*.

thanks guys... made it through the contrst die drinking.. got a little n* but i was ok after the gave me ativan...was running a fever of 103.4 and they dont know why.... but the MRI reveled my duodenem (where the small intestine starts) is inflamed and pulsating.....have to do an upper endoscopy and im a little nervous but ive had it done before.......

they did the endoscopy and i remember gagging and choking and pushing away...horrrible experience..

your doing such a great job! i would never be able to survive through an endoscopy. i hope they find out whats causing it soon. do you have any other symptoms?

they still haven't figured out whats wrong with me.... i had to drink more stuff for the colonoscopy...lol they said they gave me different drugs to make sure i was out so the doctor didnt get kicked..lmao.. apparently i put up a bigger fight then i thought i did....even semi conscience.....i was really mad that they held me down and forced it in my throat....

Have they checked your gall bladder. Me, my mom and my husband all had to have our gall bladdders out. It took a hyda scan for them to find out that my stomach problems were due to the fact that my gall bladder was not functioning properly and making me n* all the time. Just a thought. They did every test on me and it wasn't until theydid the hyda scan that they found the problem and now I am a lot better then I was. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better!

i know a few people who had to drink that stuff for the colonoscopy and it never made them sick. i really hope you get better soon. it must be scary but your doing pretty good to put up with all that. when will they do the colonoscopy?

got out of the hospital....they found NOTHING this is rediculous....i know this isnt anxiety causing horrid pain in my stomach

im sorry they didnt find anything. Is there any consolation knowing that theres no infection or all your organs are normal? I know it was for me when i wen to hospital for the same thing. they told me to take antacids when it starts again incase its reflux or indegestion.

i went through the same thing several years ago......even lost my job because of missing so much work.....went to the hospital twice in an ambulance then the dr. finally admitted me and did tons of tests......to find absolutely nothing.........

i had a long talk with myself.....i do this alot....kept reminding myself that all the tests were negative and there was nothing wrong with me........after i while i began to believe it and the stomach pains, etc went away....i never could have imagined that it was all stress/anxiety and in my head. i certainly haven't rid myself of emet......but i am able to talk myself out of feeling bad most of the time........

hope things get better for you.......you should be atleast a little happy that they didn't find anything seriously wrong with you......

my symptoms went away as well after they told me there was no ifection and everything was normal and fine
