Okay, this is REALLY bothering me cause I can't sleep. It's 2am and I need
to get up early in the morning! For a few days now I've had this strange
feeling in my throat, a dry sticky feeling. It's itchy, but not like allergy
itchy. Today my voice was kind of croaky and it's kinda turning into a
cough I think. Last night I had some difficulty getting to sleep, but tonight
I just CAN'T! I keep dozing off for a few minutes but then I wake up
coughing and my throat itches. It's really bugging me. I'm nervous it'll
turn into something serious. Does anyone know what this could be and
    will it get worse??

I really can't say what it is, maybe your trying to fight off a cold? I don't know but what I do when I have a cold and can't sleep because of a cough or sore throat, I put a Halls in my mouth between my gums and my teeth and I suck the juice when I need it and that helps me to fall asleep. Of course I fall asleep with the candy in my mouth, my bf thinks I'm nuts, and I think its the only way to fall asleep, if I choke I choke!!! LOL Its never happened in 10 years, I hope it never does!

Hope you finally did manage to sleep some.

Maybe it's a little dryer than usual in your house. Try turning the humidifier on higher. That happened to me abouta month ago.

That sometimes happens to me when I'm getting a cold, or if I havent drunk (drank?) enough water recently. You'll be fine!!

Sounds like a cold or virus to me sweety. Try drinking lots of orange juice for the vitamin C and using cough syrup. Drink plenty of water to help. You will be okay.

Thanks guys. It's a little better tonight, although I still haven't
completely gotten my voice back yet (voice lesson in a few days--not
good!) I'm pretty sure I'll sleep better tonight cause the iching's not as
bad as it was. But what bothers me now is that it's been hanging on so
LONG! How much longer will it stay? I want my voice back again! Grrr...

Also, I've been popping Halls like crazy, is there a limit to how many you
    can take in a day?Edited by: rock_on

No, don't worry about the Halls, there's a "special" person I work with who pops those things like their going out of style when she has a small cold.

    Pop away!!!!

But if this isn't enough to convince you just call your local pharmacist, they'd be happy to help you.
