get outside... go for a walk... watch That 70s Show ... get in a conversation about something other than my panic... bouncing my leg or clutching something with my hand, though it looks still panicky to others, it helps relieve my panic

Watch comedy shows and sitcoms, easy watching. Or watching a favorite movie or (for me) a comedy or romantic comedy, an easy watch:P.

I do the same! That's why I love friends... there isn't that need to be graphic like there is in modern tv. Plus, like you say, knowing all the episodes inside out helps! My family hates it when I say the lines before the characters do :P

Oh my goodness the list is endless. Eating fresh ginger or making ginger tea, chewing menthol and peppermint gum or eating mints, drinking water, sucking ice, tapping things with my fingers, getting some fresh air or walking around. Talking to my best friend or my Mum usually helps too, because I don't mind them seeing me in that state, and they are the only ones who can tell when I'm anxious.

No passion so effectively robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.
