    Default Water park panic post!!

We went to an amusement park today and spent a lot of the time in the water park because it was like 90 degrees! Well my son, who is 2, kept going down this big wide slide. Long story short, the lifeguard wasn't the friendliest kid. I happened to see a supervisor, so I mentioned it, not in a bitchy way or anything...but anyway. She apologized and everything and then said "this isn't an excuse but at about that time a kid got sick up there and he was trying to keep everyone away from it while I cleaned it up"
ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Now I know if it gets IN the pool, they shut the pool down for an hour while they shock it or whatever. I saw them do it later on (luckily we weren't in the pool at the time) I didn't see it happen while I was in there with him, but my husband took him in while I took a break and I did see the supervisor go by with a bucket (I think it's the kitty litter stuff they put on it) So I'm assuming it didn't get IN the water while my husband and son were in there, BUT I'm still kinda freaked about it. I'm hoping it was because the kid was hot and ate too much junk and maybe rode a roller coaster previously. But what if it was a sv??????

probably the heat, kids get v* sick from the heat very easily, between the heat, food, and rides i wouldnt worry too much, now if you where are just a normal park then i would worry a tad more.

The chemicals in pool water will kill norovirus and a million other things. They only shut the pool down if nasty vomit or fecal matter get right into the pool because it's just gross to the other swimmers. But public pools are safe, with only a few rare exceptions.

Kids can throw up for a number of reasons. They are bouncing around in the heat, swallowing chlorine water, etc...all that fun stuff. It could be anything, so don't stress!
