Upper respiratory infection and amoxicillin?

I went to the doctor today and she prescribed me amoxicillin. I hate taking antibitocs since the last one I took made me very n*. She put me on 500mg 2x a day. I was wondering what peoples experiences were with this. I'm nervous to take it

I've taken amoxicillin a few times since I was a child up until a few years ago and was fine every time! I wouldn't worry too much about it and start taking it so you don't get even more ill.
