I know most would definitely pick arm over leg so they can still be easily mobile. But there's a 100% chance that I'd pick leg because I'm a trombonist and I don't think a broken arm is strong enough to be supporting heavy brass for hours a day.

The latter. The first is more of a need. The latter is a want. I'm not bored that often in public. We lived without phones until recently and we can survive awhile without them.

Wasn't asked the future or past question, but I'd say future because we can learn about the past while we have zero clue about the future.
