sometimes it used to feel like 24/7 for me.....i would have to force myself to work.....or anything. my regular dr. put me on prozac several years ago and it totally stopped the obsessiveness......no i'm not cured but i can carry on pretty well in my life.....work, marriage, friendds, eating out, etc.
distractions are always a good thing.....get your mind to concentrate on something and the emet thoughts will be pushed away for a while.
you've got to really push yourself everyday to do things out of your comfort zone.....i know easier said than done.....but it can be done and you're life will be better and easier to harder you push yourself.
