I dont know if this actually works, but my friend swears that if you make a fist with your hand but hold your thumb on the inside, so that your fingers are over your thumb and squeeze not so it hurts but so that it is uncomfortable, you wont have a gag reflex. He told me this the last time i had a gagging and retching fit but he didnt tell me until i was no longer gagging so i didnt get to try it out, but he says it has something to do with the brain and different commands and stuff I really dont understand haha but he says it works for him so why not give it a try?

I have a friend who swears by this when she feels sick but I know other people who it hasn't worked for. Itd be an interesting subject for an experiment.

I've heard of this before. Can't really rely on it.

I'm guessing it works for minor gagging. But if you're retching or dry heaving or something, I doubt it would work as well.
