Introdction and Qestion!

HIIIIII!! Here I am! Just joined about 10 minutes ago, but have been an emet for about 10 years...I think?

That's my question... I am not sure I am emet or not? I don't have a fear of vomiting. I mean it sucks sure, but one time doesn't bother me. My REAL fear is the stomach virus. And it's a crippling fear to say the least. :-( My poor little family.

What do you think? Am I or am I not?

Emet is literally a fear of v* (we try and sensor the words here for the more sensitive folks... everyone is at a different level and some might panic more easily than others). Fear of the sv* is a branch of it sure, but hypochondria might match better in your case where you don't fear the actual act, but rather the illness itself. Either way we all fear sv* here, so you'll fit right in.
