Default Pains for a week and counting

Hey, so I have had sharp stomach pains for a full week now. They initially started on my lower right side and are now kind of all over the place..
I think I am constipated too, I have not been able to go to the toilet fully.. if you get me? But had d* this morning.
I am afraid I might have some sort of bowel obstruction? I heard that can cause V* so I am pretty worried, and by worried I mean panicing!
I have never had pains this long before so I don't know what to do. Im afraid to eat and drink. Can anyone offer any advice?

    Thanks
    J

I have had plenty of bowel obstructions, they suck, they hurt, but I have never v* from it. So I think you're okay on that part. The worst is the cramping. I hope you feel better. Try glycerin suppositories or an enema from the drugstore and if that doesn't work, you need to see a doctor.

Hey, so I went to my doc last Saturday and he reckons there is nothing seriously wrong and suggested it might be IBS, although no real tests were performed, he just pressed down on my stomach and asked a few questions.
Now its nearly two weeks with these pains! I am getting sharp pains all over my abdomen and my stomach is rumbling (not hunger rumbling).
I am afraid to eat much and having panic attacks often. Not sure what else I can do now...?

It really could be IBS, I often go through phases like that (but in my case it's my thyroid that's the cause). If you are constipated it can be followed by d* when it finally passes, and it'll cause lots of rumbling when something does pass. If it still doesn't pass and it really bothers you, take another appointment and tell your doctor that it is affecting your quality of life and you need either treatment of the symptoms or tests to figure out what's wrong. If you insist they will probably investigate more. Ask to see a specialist if needed.
