Default How noro spreads amongst athletes

Informative article about how people infected with noro must be quarantined:

It seems you can be infected just from even breathing microscopic droplets with the virus in them. It only takes 18 individual noroviruses to infect someone.

Yes AND no. Yes, it is Possible to breathe in and swallow the droplets, but the chances are extremely slim.

The real issue is mostly when people don't wash their hands or there's cross-contamination of surfaces. I read a story a while back where the origin of the outbreak was that one girl in a group had been sick in the bathroom but she had the grocery bags in there with her so the droplets full of virus fell on the grocery bag and the food and that's how the other girls got their hands contaminated and also by eating the contaminated food. And also, let's face it, team activities often involve people staying in close quarters so obviously there's a bigger chance of transmission when a bunch of people are crowded in a small space like a school bus for long periods of time with no chance to get out if they feel sick.
