Just wondering how everyone's summer is going?? If anybody went on vacation, or what you guys are doing this summer.

I am having a great summer. Emet is not as bad this summer than last, I have a new boyfriend, and we have been doing loads of stuff. I have been to his cottage 4 times this summer (which is great for me, cause I hadn't been away from home in about 3 years). I went to a baseball game, casinos, going out to the bar alot. Eating dinners with friends, tons of parties. This summer has been really good since I am not working. As some of you remember, I was sick with kidney problems all fall and winter and I was layed off last August. I have been actively looking for a job, but I decided to really find some where I would like to work instead of just taking any old job. I have been off of work this long what's a couple more months....plus it's SUMMER!!

I have been seeing my new man for about 3 months now, and he is more wonderful now than when I first met him. We see each other daily and he is fastly growing into my life. I love him dearly, and he has been nothing but supportive with my emet attacks (which by the way have gone down to about once or twice a month.

I am now 101lbs, I have gained 9lbs in 7 weeks, and I made a deal with my mom and dad that if I am 110lbs by September 1st, I will get a new flat screen tv, and $100. So I am really trying to eat. I have been eating three meals a day, and have not touched a cracker in about a month. I have actually been eating meat agian!!

All in all this summer is turning out to be one of the best of my life. Just wanted to let everyone know how I'm doin.

I'm glad to hear your summer is going well. I'm not working either
because I'm trying to relax and recover from the trouble my emet has
given me these past few months. I think I am getting a little better,
but it's going slowly. I'll occasionally ride in other people's cars
    now so that's....progress. Sort of.

I hope the rest of you summer is great, and good luck with getting a new job once you're ready.

Michelle - so glad to hear that your emet is under control somewhat, and congrats to you for finding a good man....after all, a good man is hard to find
My emet has been under control too, but this is commen for me. Once winter/flu season hits I am a freak !!!! Let's hope that doesn't happen to either of us anytime soon.

My summer is going well--just very busy. We have already been on one vacation and plan to go to the beach at the end of August. We bought an RV last month so we have been using it for weekend trips and we have been gone nearly every weekend since we bought it. In fact, we're going this weekend too. My parents have a vacation home on a nearby lake so we go up there, too. It is fun but sometimes it is hard to get everything done that we need to at our house.

I'm glad to hear things are going well for you now. Do you think this guy might be "the one"?

I am glad your summer is going well. And yes, I know he is the"one". I had a weird feeling from the first day that I met him that I was going to marry him. We have talked about marriage, and he feels the same way I do, he knows in his heart that he will marry me. And the most surprising thing is, he is "fixed". He got fixed last year. We have been talking about what would happen with us, cause I am unsure if I want kids. I realized that I would have to make a decision, not have the opition, or break up with him. A guy like him doesn't come around very often. After talking about this for weeks, he came to me and said, I will not marry you if I don't want kids, and I will marry you one day. He has made the decision, that he will have it reversed if I decide to want kids. And I now realize I do want childeren, and he realizes that he wants them with me too. It's funny how life changes with a blink of an eye. He never wanted kids again (he has a son), but he told me that he's never been with a person like me, and he will do what has to be done. I swear I am the luckiest girl.
