I just found out last night that a good friend of mine from high school was killed in a car accident. I didn't get to attend calling hours or his funeral. I am so upset. It's so hard when someone close to you dies, especially unexpectedly like this. Sigh....

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I know first hand how hard it is to deal with the death of someone close to you. My mom died 6 years ago, and I still have grief over that. I think it would be helpful for you if you went to the gravesite since you were not able to go to the funeral. Also, talking to his/her parents may be helpful for you too. There is no magic pill to make the pain go away, I'm sorry to say. I wish you all the best.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I got some great advice last week (my best friend was murdered), and was told to just let yourself grieve. I'm not so good at that, but in the last week, I've realized how valuable it is so you can celebrate his/her life, not live in the moment of their death. If you need anything, please let us know! You're in my prayers.

So sorry about your loss. As everyone has said, allow yourself to grieve, it is natural and healthy to do so. We are here for you.

I too lost a friend in a car accident. It is hard, cause it just
happens, no warning, no signs, just a phone call at 11PM on a thursday
night.

It happened over a year ago and Im still coping with it. Sometimes it
was something stupid. He was lost on a backroad, going fast and you hit
a little hill, car goes airborn, you know, it was fun. That rush, well,
he didnt make it, but the worst part is a few weeks earlier, i showed
him that road and we ran it numberous times with his truck. Now I have
to live with that the rest of my life.

Im sorry for your loss.

Watching life pass me by as I work, play, and live off my computer.....
