Default The worst cramps I've ever had

I just got my period today and I'm experiencing cramps tonight that I have never experienced before, ever. I am in so much pain I can't go to sleep, I'm freaked out. I took midol about 15 mins ago and it hasn't kicked in yet. It's the kind of cramps that feel just like a stomach Ache and its freaking me out. What should I do?

Do you have a hot water bottle or a heating pad? Heat sometimes helps cramps. I have also found, if you can tolerate it, exercise can also help. I hope you feel better soon.

Heat helps so much! I have endometriosis which causes excruciating cramps and that's the biggest help I've found. I have also found that 800 mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours as needed works the best medication wise. Just try to lay flat and wear stretchy pants. Drink lots of water. And don't wear tampons if you're cramping or having a lot of clots in your flow.
