OMG!! Have had a bit of an eventful weekend already and
its only Saturday night. Supposed it could be viewed as exposure
but OMG!!!!!!!! Sorry if its graphic! Just needing to vent my
panic on here.

Last night we were out for DH's birthday and got the last bus home (not
my idea). Well there was a distinctly green looking person
already covered in v**** on there which I was not happy about. As
the bus was packed (again not great for the old emet) we had to get off
and let this guy with a wheelchair get off. The green bod got off
and v****** nearby. Then got
back on the bus.... DH suggested I go a bit further back to avoid green
bod so we carried on. A few stops later another girl stopped the
bus got off and v****** very loudly outside, all her friends were
telling her to get back on the bus while she was still "busy". I
am by this point nearly in tears and freaking out. Thankfully the
bus driver decided to not let her back on and left her with a friend
looking after her. The next stop was ours so got home and chilled
out. This drama was all within 2 miles, don't think I would have
coped if it was any further.

Tonight we went to a 21st birthday, all was ok till someone dashed into
the kitchen and grabbed a bowl. Didn't need to be told what that was
for so was not too happy. We got back to our house where I
thought I was safe and then some people turned up. One guy had
drunk waaaay too much and fell asleep. When they woke him up to
take him home he stumbled to the front door and promptly v******
right outside our house. OMG!!!!!!

So I am now calming myself down by writing this and getting it off my chest as I know you will understand here.
Friend has said will clean it up before I get up tomorrow but have to
say I am not at all happy knowing there is a pile of v**** outside my
front door! Fortunately I didn't see this happen and DH has been
lovely giving me hugs and warning me about it.

So hopefully this will not be a regular occurence and I suppose it has
been exposure therapy and I survived I would quite happily not have a
repeat performance.

Sorry its a bit long, am off to bed now, tomorrow has to be a better day!

Wow sounds like a really truamatizing expereince for you! I know that if I was on a bus with someone who looked green and had V* all over him then I would have totally gotten off of the bus and waited for the next one. It sounds like most of the people there had just too much to drink so I wouldn't worry about being infected. I know how hard it must be to be around people V*ing like that! But you got through it! Good for you!

It's weird, really. I'm just musing now. I think the last time I was near anyone who vomited (outside sick folks in the hospital) was when I was in university, and the drunks used to do it. I'm 46 years old now, and I'm certainly "out there" in the world; movies, shopping, church, flying, touring Europe, etc. I have NEVER seen anyone sick in almost 30 years! I wonder if there's more of it when you're younger?

Ironic, eh? I can handle it now, and I never see it!

How awful for you - certainly exposure therapy gone mad ;o) I know the feeling of v* waiting outside your front door - I used to live opposite a pub and people v*ed on a regular basis outside my front door as it was round a secluded corner, it was awful. My fiance used to clean it up as I couldn't bear the thought. Made a pact with him saying if there was ever a no2's outside I'd clean that up thinkingI'd be safe as nobody would ever do that... then one Christmas morning there was the biggest pile of human poop just outside the door as we left to go to my dad's for Xmas dinner. Vile That was the final straw - moved soon after that!!!

Omgosh. I could NOT
have done that. I mean it when I say that I wouldn't go through that
for 1 million dollars. From the sounds of it , you handled it
remarkably well compared to what I would've done..</font>

Thanks for the responses, just had to vent at the
time. I'm ok now, our friends had cleaned it up before I got up
on Sunday and I can't tell where it was at all now

Had to laugh at the pile of poop Tracey! Wouldn't find it funny if it was my house tho!

Sage - I don't usually encounter it, think this weekend was just
coincidence.... better not have a repeat performance this weekend
anyway!

First off, you should be sooooooooo proud of yourself for sticking through it. I know I would have been the first to run off the bus and walked many miles rather than bear those few moments of v*. You should really be proud!

Thank God for you guys.. I feel so much better. From where I come from, people find it weird that I have such a paralyzing phobia.. Either I have really bad panic attacks, uncontrollable crying or even fainting at times. It just makes me feel so bad..

Thanks guys.. I almost feel normal again. Almost.

Too bad the Iraqi insurgents aren't e-phobes or we could just sent of
some of your party monster friends to V* all over the place.

I bet you the folks on the bus were drunk and although it's
traumatizing to see them V, at least you don't have to worry to much
about catching anything from them.

Even if it was the last bus, I would have gotten off and walked home or called a taxi.

I completely understand. The other night I was on the subway and a guy began to v* luckily i was with my bf and he sheltered me. We got out at the next stop and jumped to another car, and as soon as we sat down noticed that someone else was v*ing! I am going to be pretty nervous riding late on the subway now.. and if i am riding late on the weekend, i will keep my eyes down!
