Today I was at the canteen at the high school and ordered a "sausage
mix" (scandinavian meal constisting of freedom fries with sausage
    pieces).

If ordered before 10 AM you dont have to wait in a queue and just get a
yellow piece of paper which you show to the cook/sales clerk and you
    get the food.

I did so, and I got that yellow piece of paper. When I took the paper
from my pocket and gave it to the cook/sales clerk, she took the paper,
and with the same hand she took the paper with, she also put the
    sausages on my freedom fries.

Even though she used gloves, it wasn't one-time-gloves.

That means that all those many people during that lunch came to her,
gave her the yellow piece of paper, which means that she had touched
papers which has touched severel people at the high school, which again
means that all the germs (including the Norwalk Virus which only
requires 1-10 particles for infection) which other people might had had
on their hands. That actually means that half the high school students
    indirectly have touched my food!

    Disgusting!

How big is the chance that I will get Norwalk Disease with nausea and vomiting withing the next 48 hours?

I've got half the high school students germs in my food!

I think the reason gloves are used is because germs do not adhere to them as easliy as bare hands. I understand your fear though. I would try not to worry about it. I'm sure this has been the practice for a long time and unless your school has had numerous outbreaks of the norwalk virus before, I wouldn't be to worried. Remember, if you were to get contaminated, so would everyone else in the school. I'm sure you will be ok.

Well, I guess I was wrong. You are probably going to get the worst illness you have ever had. Next time you want to correct someone, you do not have to be so rude about it. A simple, "I think you might be mistaken" would be a lot nicer than "Wrong."

A serving of tact perhaps with the freedom fries and sausages might be in order??

Well anyway, is there a Norwalk outbreak going around at your high school? If not, why are you worrying about it?

Whoa okay. You both could have been a little nicer, but I don't think that that is the issue right now. dtekno, i don't think you will get sick. If there isn't an outbreak of norwalk at your high school, it is so so unlikely that you'll get it. Plus, I think that a piece of paper is not going to be that highly affected. You have no reason to worry.
