Do you have a stomachache? If not you're not sick. You're probably making yourself anxiouscausing weird breathing patterns because you're afraid you'll catch this and that's what's making you hiccup. Sit down for a while and do some deep breathing.

my stomache isnt bothering me, i dont think. it was before but thats
because i ate and then got nervous cuz i kept hiccupuing... if i was
sick i would know by now right? ive had them all day. see my belly
didnt hurt until i just thought about it. and the school nurse was sick
last week (v*) and i talked with her face to face the next day and i
didnt get it. so why woul di get the n* sv* this other teacher has
    right?

i have a feeling im going to be posting a lot on here this winter since
im working at a school now. and the worst part is that the school is
residential. so the kids dorm there.... which means it gets spread
    easier

I don't think you're ill, bex ^_^ Hiccups can really wear you down though, especially if they are *extreme* hiccups, that come and go all day...sometimes even for a few days. I think it would have been pretty hard for you to catch this thing that the nurse and that lady had - esp. just by talking to them.

You're ok! Just chill out...anxiety wouldn't be helping them go away. So just take some deep breaths and calm down Edited by: angel13

I've had some pretty painful hiccups before but they are harmless...

They are technically "diaphram spasms" so they have nothing to do with your stomach at all... it's all in the diaphram, which controls the lungs, not your stomach. I am sure you are fine.. especially if you feel fine.

I agree. I've personally never heard of hiccups being related to an sv* or v* at all. I tend to get hiccups quite frequently, for no reason what so ever, and if i get them once, i'll get them for the rest of the day...it's just an aggrevating pain in the butt!!!! heheh!
