Yes, when I was very small, the other times I v* were carsickness, too much candy, and unknown reason. *knock on wood*

I already had sv, but I never v* for this reason. I only v* 3 times until now, and never because of an illness or anything. Iīve just v* these3 times, because Iatetoo much (all of you know the stomach of a little child, it isnīt that strong)and I was a little child, so my last v*experiences was about 20 years ago. I am 25 now.Edited by: Sun666

I may have had an sv* as a child, maybe 5-6 yrs old. I am now 38 and haven't v*ed in 26 yrs. But i MAY have had 1 or 2 sv*s in my adult life cuz i do remember having d*, but that was when i was still in my teens. Now i'm so used to d* cuz of my IBS lol! I used to be scared of having d*, but it's nothing to me anymore, i guess i'm used to it and realize that having d* does NOT mean v*ing will happen!

I've had maybe 4 stomach viruses in my life that I can remember--they were all under the age of 6, except for one when I was 12. But I never v* from it. Only dry heaved once and felt nauseous all day.

But in college, I had a friend who never had a stomach virus and he wasn't an emet either. The only time he v* in the past 15 years was from drinking toomuch one night. I envied him.

I don't know what the cause of it was but the summer before this past
summer, I had severe "D" for about a week. Thankfully it wasn't any "V"
because ordinarily, I don't mind "D", but let me tell you... this was
pure TORTURE! I wanted to go to the emergency room but I couldn't make
the 8 minute drive to there!! I had to use the toilet every 5 minutes.
    And it was painful.

I think the reason might have been attributed to eating a bad frozen
pizza. At the time, I was living in an area that got hit by a hurricane
and the power had gone out over a vast area... Although I bought the
pizze after the power went back on, I bet it was not stored properly
and that was possibly the culprit. Haven't had a slice of pizza since
    then!

TORTURE folks!!! You don't want to get that!

wow! so im not the only one! i guess being an emet we'r so EXTRA EXTRA
careful about staying away from contagious ppl and washing our hands
etc.. as well as not letting ourselves v* when we feel sooo ill... i
spose theyre the reasons why a lot of us hav hardly ever v*... even
when our tummies are bugged...thanx for all ur replies just needed to
know whether i was a freak or not hehe<!--

You know I wondered the same thing too for the longest time.

I once met this beautiful girl that I wanted to date. I don't know how
the topic came up but I told her about my phobia and she told me she
never, ever, (not once) V*! Now those would be some good genes to have!
Too bad she didn't fancy me I guess.. LOL She prolly thought I was nuts.

Durin that same summer, I had gotton my first ever migraine headache.
Lord have mercy that hurt! I didn't know what was happening to me. I
collapsed on the couch and felt faint and Jeez, I really don't remember
but I did start to feel N* which is typical of migraines in some cases.
I somehow got to the medicine cabinet and popped a couple chewable
Peptol Bismol tablets, stood there for a several minutes and felt
better. I think I went to sleep for a couple of hours and when I woke
    up, I felt better.

You know, I am starting to think this isn't abnormal, but maybe a norm
for emets? Like I have long wondered if maybe the reason i am so scared
is because it is so unknown....the last time for me was maybe when i was
8 or 9 or so, and it was only one v* from exhaustion. Didn't bother me at
the time either. Other than that just drunk instances, which actually don't
bother me at all because I know it's not contagious.

Last time I vomited, when I was 6, (I'am now going on 25) I'm not sure if it was rom a s/v or not. None of my bros/sis. got it. I think it was because I drank to much chocolate milk and it upset my belly. Hoever, I believe I have had at least 3-4 moe s/v's in my teen-adult life. Thankfully, I never v* from them though, only bad d* which I don't mind because I'm used to taking laxatives (used to be bulimic) The last one being last April. My son had the rotovirus and v* and had d* for 4 days. Never seen someone v* so much ever and he's only 2:O( I thought I was clear and out of the woods but it struck me without warning. I actually didn't really even feel that nauseous but had horrible d* for like 3 days.

I've had two sv's in my life - once when I was 8, the other when I was
    14. I'm 28 now, and I've only v*d once in the last 14 years - that was
from drinking way too much and I don't really remember it. I made it
through two back to back pregnancies without v*ing once, even though
I felt like death for months on end, and any normal person would have
    v*d daily.

I've had sv's, but have only had diarrhea from them, hopefully that will continue, if I must catch one, which is likely, considering my kids catch them all the time!
