Okay, I know this is strange. I have absolutely no problem with v*** myself. But if I think my kids are going to v*** I completely freak out. My 4 year old daughter has v*** on three occasions already. Once wasON me, the other times right next to me. She is always saying her tummy hurts. Whenever this happens I almost have a panic attack. I have trouble breathing and begin to shake. I am a college educated professional and I realize this is irrational, yet I have no control. I am taking an antidepressant which supposedly also has antianxiety effects, too. But NOTHING helps in these situations. Obviously I need a strategy in handing these situations when they come up. Does anyone have any helpful hints that have worked for them? Thanks

Are you in therapy? If not, I would suggest making an appointment and printing out all the information from this site to take.

Yes, go to the Treatments thread and read all the sticky posts: they have tons of information about treatment for this.

Many people only fear other people vomiting. (I used to think I was the only "freak" in the whole world!) But actually, it's a bit easier to treat. And the medication you're on should be helping a fair bit - your doctor may want to look at that and try another one.

    All the best!
