    I've heard all of these.

After explaining to my loved ones, they know my phobia but still have those "It's not THAT bad, no one LIKES being sick" comments.

But my absolute worst, the one that gets down to my very core and makes me legitimately freak out (no matter the context) and is my trigger?

"Just a warning, steer clear of the bathroom..."

I only have one bathroom in my house. It's right next to my bedroom.

    "You're overreacting."

I know that. I know that my panicking right now is irrational.

    BUT HERE'S THE THING.

I have a phobia that literally makes it impossible to calm down. Therefore, you telling me to calm down is not going to help, it's just going to annoy/frustrate me.

    Just fyi.

Not really having to do with throwing up, but in terms of anxiety I think if anything annoys me it is when someone says "it's all in your head". Like, yeah. I know this! LOL.

But honestly it's probably the best thing that someone could say to me too because it snaps me out of it most of the time. Other times I'm probably beyond the point of rationality that I start defending my anxiety. Which I do admit, happens.

I also hate when people try to "one-up" my anxiety constantly. by telling me something worse that happened to them, or how my irrational thinking could actually have worse consequences. every. single. time.

Somebody said yesterday: "You should try living in my shoes for one day!"

Or, "Try thinking positive." If only it was THAT easy. :/

    "It's just a normal thing"

"Nothing bad happens when you v"

    "It's good for you"

    "You'll feel better after it"

"Just make yourself v and get it over with"

Although my boyfriend usually just stays quiet and tells me I'll be fine and to stop panicking.... When my anxiety gets so extreme I'm physically shaking and rocking and staring into space these seem to be his favorite sentences 😑

My partner saying "are you ok baby?" That really winds me up, its obvious im not ok but then his response is a hug and to walk off, wtf!

Most of the above such as "What is the worst thing that can happen?" and "There is not reason to be scared." are the worst. Like I get it that those people are probably trying to help, but it's not really helping and it just makes us feel like our fear is irrational.
But another thing I really hate is when my mum comes and says "I'm not even gonna tell you that I feel sick because I know what you're like." Like umm... mum, you just told me. She knows I'm slightly hypochondriac yes she can never help it and tell things like this to me.

A few things people say to me when I'm panicking or feel sick,
"what's the worst that could happen?"
"If you get sick, you get sick."
    "you'll live."
    "calm down"
"there's nothing i can do about it"
"i don't know what to say"
    "just stop."

    You look tired
    You look upset
