I wouldn't have thought you would be able to catch anything from it.
I agree because its outside, the fresh air will despatch any germs...
and remember just because its a pile of v*, it doesn't necessarily
mean it came from someone with a sv, it could be from someone
with food poisoning, or any number of causes. Think positive. (and
just make sure you didn't stand in it!!) Yuck yuck yuck>
I swear the worst thing about v*ing, is the look of it - its gross! If I
knew I was gonna v* and it would only look like water or something,
I don't think it would be so bad, but when it comes out like vegetable
    soup its hideous!!!

Even though I wan't to comfort you, I still believe the [material] is
not safe to be around. But there are many possibilities as to what
could have been the cause of it or if it in fact was v* rather than
actual vegetable soup that someone dumped out of their Thermos. It's
just not worth the time trying to guess what it was or why it was
there. Or if it will have any effect on you. Cheer up buttercup.

I think you'll be fine! Hippychick once re-assured me very well that SV are not transmitted through the air. It's just respiratory things like the cold etc. You got to be really really close to someone who is ill andcatch there saliva or something - honestly - no worries!!
