Hello missgoddess

I watched Little Britain tonight. Although I must confess I never really
watched much of the earlier series so i'm not sure what you are
referring to. I do remember reading somewhere that they had some
vomiting ladies, or something like that. If that was what you meant
then no they didn't have that in tonights episode - it was quite
amusing - I think you either "get it" or you don't. I'm sorry to say, I
sort of get it but i don't know what all the fuss is about!!!

Yes it was the v**ing ladies I was referring to, glad they're gone to
be honest. I couldn't imagine it could go on for another series,
surely there's only a certain amount that can be done with them. I'm
embarassed to say I get it and find it very funny and I'm glad I'll be
able to watch it again after missing the whole of the second series due
to the WI scenes. Thanks for the help

I love Little Britain too. There was no sign of the v* lady last night but I think I saw the WI ladies on an advert for the new series so I don't know whether they will appear - hope I'm wrong! I can still watch the series - just have to look away when THOSE scenes come on!

I think they have dropped the v* lady and replaced her with the peeing lady.

To be honest last nights episode was a bit of a let down, I'm hoping it
will get funnier as the series goes on, it was all just a bit obvious
and tired, in my opinion anyway.

hmm think they may be back at some point according to photos on this site (don't worry not nasty photos just ones of the character in costume)

Its repeated isnt it, so maybe if people remember they could let you
know which episode they will be in, I will try to if I remember, (I put
my hands over my ears and my lodger tells me when its over) but my new
meds are making completely forgetful!

I love that show, I saw the first ep of the new series and there were no v ladies in it... Although when I did see them in the last series I would always tr to force myself to watch them as a kind of test but all I kept thinking was, is this exaggerated or is that how fast it really comes out??!!! If yes that resally is scary.

Yes, don't worry it is exaggerated, just like the pee is on the new'incontinent old lady' character.

pee lady has really offended the incontinent society and doctors who think the sketch is unfair on people who have to suffer with the problem on a day to day basis, and i agree, it must be mad enough suffering with something like that without having a sketch show making you feel embarrassed about the issue...looks like they are upsetting a lot of people with their 'gross' sketches...why couldn't they have stuck to the humour found in series one?

Hmm all I can say about last nights episode is that I am glad I was in
bed, because I managed to get my head under the pillow just in
time. I really don't see how people can find it funny.

If you think about it missgoddess, most of the sketches could offend somebody, from fat people, the disabled, transvestites, gay people, single mothers, ethnic minoritesto Dennis Waterman!

Last night's episode was pretty gross regards the v*ing lady. I hid away at first and then peeped and saw the last fewbits of it without feeling too bad, so I regard that as a small personal triumph!

Yes, I watched it last night...ad my mum warned me about the v*ing
lady. She told me when it was on so that I could stare at a wall
with my fingers in my ears!

was v*ing lady particularly badlast night then? worse than last series? i was looking at screen shots of last series v*scenes for exposure and was starting to think it looked ok...maybe if someone didnt hide and braved it they could explain the sketch?

tcsarah-i understand what your saying but i think there is an element of funnyness in the other skecthes and altho they are based on people who are members of a minoirty, they are not laughing directly at gay people (as lucas is himself gay) or at fat people (more at weight watchers) or at disabled people, but at the characters as people, its not the fact that andy (or lou, i get em mixed up lol) is disabled thats funny, its the fact he is faking his disability and always getting one over on his able bodied friend...however the pee lady sketch is only humourous becasue she wets herself, there seems to be no other humour present, so its suggesting incontenence is funny and is ok top laugh at...maybe i must understand it, but that's how i see it
