With Influenza normally comes loss of appetite, and i was quite nasueous when i had the flu a couple weeks ago...it is cause you are ot eatting, do eat..cause if you dont you will only feel sicker..i dont think i have ever heard of influenza turning into a sv..

Actually they say to "feed a cold but starve a flu". So you might want
to limit your eating to chicken soup and toast. Although a severe case
of influenza reportedly causes v* in adults, especially those wicked
strains over there in Austrailia, it's not the same thing as the SV you
    hear about commonly.

I thought it was "starve a fever, feed a cold" - and I agreed, because I'm always starving when I have a cold!!

I think you're right, that's the saying. But of course sometimes a
light fever accompanies a cold and it isn't a major deal but you get
    the point.

i think thatmaybe having a nasty cold could lower your immune system a little as your body is busy fighting it, but then as long as you keep up good hygiene, you shouldnt be at any more risk than usual.
