Help please!

On the 21st of August my Mom got sick with what I assume was a stomach virus. She vomited and had diarrhea. On the 19-23rd of September my parents, my best friend, and I are going to Florida. We'll be staying in a condo and in order to save money my Mom wants to cook food as opposed to eating out. She would be the one cooking and although this may sound like a dumb question I was wondering if it would be safe to eat something she's prepared by then? Like, I shouldn't be able to catch anything from her by then should I?
