i mentioned earlier in the week about this *sv infected woman* at work.
She told me she had bellyache all sunday, threw up sunday night, then
all monday she couldnt get up all day. She came back to work on the
tuesday and touch wood no ones caught it off her, not even her family.
I have been warey around her, washing my hands alot and trying not to
put my hands near my face as much as poss.

But can someone answer me these questions...

If her family havent even caught it- is she contagious?

When am i safe to go nearer her if we're talking?

How long will it be till shes no longer contagious?

    Many Thanks

All of your questions are those that we emets think of often. But, I am going to challenge you to just try really hard to put them out of your mind and not think about them. I know that seems impossible, but it isn't. You just have to work really hard at it. Honestly, it doesn't matter if she is still contagious or not because chances are there is someone who touched a door handle or atm machine who is right now and you don't know any better. You aren't doing yourself any favors analyzing the crap out of the situation. (let me just say that I am not being condescending.. I ask the same questions as you do.. but I think we should all try to nip this behavior because it's self defeating) Just tell yourself who cares and so what. Eventually you will believe it.

You cannot control this. And realistically speaking, the questions you've asked could only be answered by a physician after he tested her poo.

Just try not to think about it and live life.

Think of the woman as a steamy pile of cow poop.

You can have a pile of it in your living room.

You can step in it .

You can smell it and walk near it.

You can shovel it around and spread it on your lawn as fertilizer.

There's just one thing you don't want to do and that's get germs from
the cow poop swallowed. Not even a little. If you can manage to use
household cleansers and not get any swallowed, you can do this too.

The main difference is that the woman is walking around and
doing/touhing things that cow poop doesn't do. Makes it challenging.
Just wash those hands. You can do it!

If it's the flu or if she v* within a few feet of you then all bets are off.
