Eggwash being refrigerated= safe?

So I prepared a pie with vegetables in it and put some eggwash on the top of it and then put in the fridge for 3 hours. It will then be baked in a hot oven for around 40 minutes. Is this safe, as I don't want salmonella and can't find any information on whether this is safe or not online.

You have nothing to worry about it's perfectly safe. I do this all the time.
