Manometry on Wednesday. Scared!

So I've got to have a 24-hour pH monitoring and manometry on Wednesday and I'm scared because I've heard that a lot of people have been s* during it and I don't want that to happen at all. Has anybody else had this done? And what was your experience with it?

I've never even heard of such a thing. What is this for and how is it done?

This is to test for reflux, right? Can't you get the nuclear medicine test done instead? I've heard it is more reliable and not as unpleasant.
