Default Pill got stuck (and partially dissolved) in my esophagus/airway

So, routine Ranitidine (GERD stuffs) and Mirtazapine dosages. I have a history with being unable to properly swallow on my own. The pill (Ranitidine) dislodged itself and started to dissolve. Breathing was almost all the way obstructed, but I was able to cough/gag it out. (yea it sucked, but it wasn't vomiting-type of gag) Issue is when I breathe in (heavily), I smell the dissolved pill. Not when I breathe in normally, just... heavily.

Is this something to be of concern? (It would have certainly been if I wasn't able to cough the pill out).
Should I continue to drink water to clean my esophagus? The pill came out almost in full-condition, so if anything, only the outer layer dissolved prematurely.

Try a piece of bread. Nathan's how I get pills to go completely down when they feel stuck.
