Urgh..

Well, today me and hubby went to visit my Gramma, and it went pretty
good. I was feeling kind of yuck tho cause its the 2nd day of my
period. While I was there at the nursing home where my Gramma is at, we
ate some from the cafeteria they had there. I just had a salad. Well,
about an hour or so after we ate I started feeling kind of sick, and it
was getting on time to leave anyways so me and hubby left, and man a
little after on the way home I really thought I was going to v*. Man
talk about not a good time to be in the car. William was really good
though, he said it wouldn't bother him if I did get sick. I did get
feeling better, but now I still feel kind of off in the guts. I didn't
eat hardly anything today, and I figured a salad would be mild. I just
hate not knowing why when I feel real sick. It could be because of my
period, though I'm not sure. Its odd cause now I don't have cramps
really or anything, my stomach just feels still sick some. Ugh I really
hate close calls. Just scares
the pants off of you!

Sounds like you are hungry to me. A salad is just water and fiber and not very filling. You are bleeding and probably a little weak from not eating. I can't get my period without feeling yuck and lack of food makes it worse. Eat a few crackers.
TRY to live each day like it were your last

Hmm well I was
hungry, and so ate the salad, but man after I started to feel seriously
nauseas, like didn't want food near me. Heh now I'm scared to eat
because I sure don't wanna feel like that again. I've been drinking
some Sprite. Geez now I can't get it out of my head whether it was from
my period, or am I getting a bug or something? Well, I think by now if
I had a bug I would know it.

Maybe just combination of not much food + period + ate food = baaaad news...</font></span>

Your period could make you feel really N*. I know someone who is now on birth control because she would V* on her period almost every month. The hormones are horrible... and she couldn't control the illness she caught every month with it. Birth control has been her lifesaver! If the N* really bothers you consistently, talk with your doctor about it. You can go on different medications to help reduce it or maybe there are some herbal remedies for it or something.

Hey purpleteacher,

Yeah my guess is that it was from my period. Its usually not that bad,
but every once in a period I'll get pretty bad nausea the first or 2nd
day, not all day, but just like a few hours sometimes.

Salad on an empty stomach has really gotten me sometimes...With IBS, they say not to eat fruits or veggies on a totally empty stomach as they sometimes cause gas, bloating, d*, etc. I felt like that this weekend, I understand what you mean, I really felt like I almost had to v* yesterday and it scared the crap out of me.

Hi Silver,

Hmm thats something that salad can do that. I would think it
would be pretty mild, thats why I went with it rather than a burger.
Maybe its just on an empty stomach its hard to digest the lettuce or
something. I have very mild IBS, maybe that didn't help either.

I hope you are doing better, close calls are pretty frightening.

Btw, welcome to the boards!
