Food poisoning or sv?

My friend just called and said she woke up at 3am with crampy, dragging pains - a bit like period pains. She went back to sleep for an hour then woke in terrible pain (lower abdomen, cramps) and quite severe d*.


She hasn't v*, but said she felt a little n* during the d*. She's not eaten anything unusal, has done all her own cooking etc. Does this sound like food poisoning or a sv? I'm worried about her but as I was with her all Friday night and briefly on Saturday, I'm kind of worried about me too [img]smileys/smilies_06.gif[/img].

Maybe she just hasa bout with diarrhea? I don't think it is a stomach virus, I read a poster on the wall at the hospital and it showed signs and symptoms of food poisoning and stomach flu very similar.

I think that sometimes these things just happen. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
