hey everyone, I don't have much time to talk (come on it's friday night! )

but I recently came across this website, and it has honestly lifted a lot off my shoulders. I honestly never knew there was a phobia like this, and I've hidden my problems from a lot of people for the fact that I feel dumb about it. for right now I'm just kind of checking the site out, and I'm pretty nervous but hopefully it will help me out a lot.

I hope I get to know everyone more and I look forward to getting the support I've been in need of..

but yeah I just wanted to say hi to everyone, and hope everyone has wonderful weekend.

wow out of 34 people have viewed you are the only one who replied! thanks so much. I can't wait to get to know everyone, and I'm going to try to be on here as often as possible because just reading everything and knowing I'm "not the only one" makes me feel a lot better.

thanks everyone for welcoming me, it's awesome.

I know everyone here has the same phobia and everything but I'm
stilla little nervous to talk about it all. I mean I think I've read
EVERYTHING on the message boards and can see that obviously after
all this time of thinking that I was crazy, I see people go through the
same stuff - some even worse - that I do...but I guess I'm just still
uncomfortable about the whole subject in general because I've never
really told anyone, and..yeah. But I trust everyone here would listen
to what I have to say.

I have honestly gotten a lot better in the last few years with my
phobia just because I'm at a "college age" and live in a college town
and see lots and lots of drunk people. My 21st is coming up soon (2
weeks!) and while I'm a huge party girl and drinker, I have never
gotten sick from drinking..yet. I honestly have not V*d in about 11
years. So while everyone is telling me "you're going to get so
wasted, you are going to v* for sure! especially if you haven't yet.."
and other stuff..I'm thinking PLEASE NOOOOO. I mean it took me
long enough to even try drinking just because of the paranoid feeling
of being sick from it. But yeah. Just my current stress right now,
but...I'm sure I can push through like I usually do..

well. have a good saturday night everyone.

Hi Jamie.

I'm a bit new, too, but I'm glad you're joining us. I just ran across your
post - otherwise, I would've replied sooner.

I'm glad you've gotten better over the years. I know I have as well. It's
always a journey, I think. Yes, a struggle as well, but more than that. I
understand exactly what you mean in regards to drinking. I've had a little
here and there, but I can barely finish a single beer as I'm so paranoid. I /
have/ gotten to the point where I can finish a drink with minor worrying,
though. So yes. Baby-steps.
