Okay so I went to work Saturday, and the girl I usually work with
called someone in for her because she was V* on friday, night and
still on Saturday. Well She worked on Thursday too. So went i went
in on Sunday she was there! And I was totally freaked, She still
wasn't feeling well, but couldn't find someone to cover for her. So I
had to touch the register that she used, breath the same air, oh god.
I'm so freaked out. Plus I have a cold, so I think my immune system
is weaker too. Do you guys think I was really exposed, or do you
think there is not much risk? And no I didn't share the bathroom with
her, oh hell no! I'm so nervous about it. How long after exposure
would I know that I would be sick????

where do you work? what kind of job is it?
i think if YOU kept your hands washed..
you will have better chances of not catching it.

generally.. if you're okay tomorrow. then you're definitely okay.

Calm, deep breath I really think your ok...The d* is most probably nerves, when I start to get nervous it goes right to my bowels...I really think your ok... did you wash your hands? did you put your hands in your mouth? Did any of her family members get sick off of her, they would be the ones to get it first I think... You worked with her on sunday and it is tueday...i would say most probably you would have gotten it by now! do you have any anti emetic meds?

Don't worry, Ruby. Start taking vitamins now. And tea or whatever makes
you feel better. Load up on the OJ and/or Airborne.

And remember: these things effect people differently. Even if she
vomited, it doesn't mean you will - even if you did get something from
her. And I'm not saying that you /did/ get anything, just /if/. So maybe
the worst you'll get from this is d*, anyway. Not to say that's pleasant or
    anything, but y'know.

    You are very scared and tense that is why you feel odd. Your anxiety is high. Anxiety will make your tummy hurt. {{{hugs}}}

Thanks guys. I was thinking I just need to stay calm, its just hard. I
have been taking vitamins and zinc for the extra immune boost. No
one is sick from my work as far I know, and my boyfriend is okay
too...I washed my hands very good, and used sanitizer a lot that
day. Plus I washed all my clothes, and stuff when I got home. Just
nerves I think. Maybe I need to eat something...

I remember one time when sometihng like that happened when I came in to cover someone else's shift. I came in and two of us were working relief, and then the only other person working got a sv, I talked to the manager and they said as long as me and the other person were comfortable closing by ourselves that she could elave, so she did...it was a lot better for me that she was gone and i could go clean stuff, and not have to deal with her being there anymore!

I think you should report your manager for making someone come in who was sick. That isn't fair and the SV exposure she gave to people was really dangerous.
I\'m always a shade of purple...
