Was doing some research relating to my thesis, and came across this article about emetophobia:

    5F1_emet.pdf

Caution though: There are some serious methodology issues that the writers mention; using an internet-based sample being the biggest concern to me, as it excludes emetophobics who do not have access to a computer (which means that likely they are of a certain race and socioeconomic background) or who may feel too shamed to speak about their experiences in a public forum. Not to mention those who may not view a group such as this as productive, or feel that it causes more anxiety.

Either way, it's worth a read. If only there was more research out there that uses different techniques to gather data!

ps- the internet group they sampled wouldn't be this one, would it?

yes, this was a good piece of research by the site
"gut-reaction". Even though it's only an internet sample, it
would be hard to do much better since most emetophobes won't travel
    anywhere to be "studied"!

That was interesting, I would've liked to see a control group of people without emetophobia too. That would have been good for comparison.
