There's been a far bit. A couple of big TV/movie stars have publically spoken about their emetophobia. There have been some good magazine articles (particularly in the UK), a book on phobia released a few years ago had a chapter on it, and recently there was a Dr. Phil episode with an emetophobic.

I think there should be more media coverage, it makes me annoyed when I see programs relating to phobias and they treat people with phobias of baloons, olives, cotton wool, buttons etc.

I know these people obviosly have these fears but come on.........how can a baloon or olive hurt you or make you feel bad!!! (Hope I havent offended anyone)

There was a newspaper article a week ago that said emetophobia was the 4th most common phobia in the uk, so why dont people talk about it???

Well I was going to say the reason that people DON'T talk about it is cause it's embaressing, but being afraid of a balloon would be embaressing enough. I wish there was more media coverage of it too.
