(I made this in two forums because sometimes I can't log into the
website, like maybe once every two weeks, I type my username and
password and it says i'm logged in, but I can't do anything like I
still show up as guest and I want to see the responses from this thread
if I can't log back in again (I made the other thread in the private
    forum))

Last night I went out drinking with a few of my friends, and when I
came home I felt fine. Then a few hours later I had this really sore
throat so I just passed it off to being in the cold/talking alot. I was
really tired so I went to bed, I woke up about 2 hours later and felt
really hot/my throat ached and I felt a bit nauseous. I went back to
sleep and was awoken by the guys who live upstairs t.v and still with
the sore throat. I don't know if I have a hangover or what, I only had
2 drinks last night. But in your experience, have you ever known
someone to have a sore throat then later develop a sv?

It sounds like you're coming down with a cold to me...or a virus along those lines. Personally I've never associated sore throats with v* because it's never happened to me, nor anyone else I've known. In fact every time I get a sore throat it's yet another cold (I get them a lot) or tonsilitis (get that too). At the beginning of a virus like that I usually get sore throat, feel hotter than usual, and feel a bit nauseous.

If I were you I wouldn't worry. Was it smokey when you went out? Cigarette smoke makes my throat v.sore! The best thing to do is drink lots of water to lubricate your throat, but I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about.

I live with a constant sore throat. I have acid reflux and terrible allergies with post nasal drip. Yes, a sore throat can cause feelings of nausea sometimes (especially in me because of the pain and the swallowing feeling). Talking too much, screaming, dehydration, allergies, stress, stomach acid/ reflux, acidic drinks and the list goes on for possible reasons for your sore throat. I also know that sometimes you get a sore throat when your body is fighting off something... or so I have been told. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, see the doc.

Hope you get to feeling better soon!
