    Abbey,

SV never really go away throughout the year, but the peak of incidence is from november - march, although this year for some reason the tail end of the peak season was a bit delayed. It does seem though that the number of cases (as reported to the Health protection agency) is dropping and so we may be over the worst of it.

As most people on here will tell you, if you keep your hands really clean (wash them for as long as it takes you to sing Happy Birthday to yourself twice), avoid putting your hands in your mouth or rubbing your eyes too much then you can really go a long way to avoiding getting sick with SV (and other bugs too).

    Hope you keep well,

    Iain

    kath,

I am not so sure that it is so important in the transmission of SV if
you rub your eyes or not, but the eye is one of the main routes of
entry for the flu virus, (along with several others) and so
avoiding rubbing your eyes should reduce a potential entry point for
    viruses.

Abbey, I live in Essex. No where near you I know.

My friend lives in Uxbridge, West of London and all 3 of her kids had it a month ago.

    Last week

My niece and nephew had it

    Their dad had it

    His stepdad had it

    My other half had it

My son had it two days ago.

I have felt funny all day so I have been taking my anti emetics today.

SO IT IS STILL DEFINATELY HERE.
