o/t...sore throat

I have the worst sore throat. I think I might have strep throat... anybody have any good remedies to soothe a sore throat?

Make sure you head in tomorrow to get a swab done! If it is strep, they can give you something that will clear it up right quick.


For right now....do you have any tea? Tea with honey works well- nice and soothing. Also, do you have any cloraseptic spray? I really works to numb the area.

Yeah I agree with amber - black tea with honey or even with honey and ginger if you have it.. try to avoid anything with milk products as this can cause phlegm etc.


Ermm... try gargling salt water too if you can bear it.. its a good anti-septic!

Definitely gargle with salt water. Totally works wonders on sore throats!

This time of year, it could be sinus drainage too. Do you have allergies?
If not, I think a trip to the doc is in order. Sucking on ice cubes always
used to help me. That chloraseptic sore throat spray that numbs your
throat works pretty well too.
