    Abbey-

I think that that is a great idea to go to the doctor...I haven been putting it off again. I know that you just had a baby too and that must be sooo stressful right now on top of the emet.

As far as medications goes...everyone is different. A lot of people have tried a bunch of different things on this site with success, its all going to be what works best for you.

Hang in there, I am in the same boat lately, just utterly sick of being so afraid all of the time. For me the past few months have been hell worrying constantly, feeling cruddy...let us know how it goes for you.

I"ve never actually told a Doctor (MD) about my emet. Well that doesn't count cause I have a psychiatrist who prescribes me meds...but I mean like I've never told a general practitioner so I don't know what you can expect. What I can tell you is that I told my psychiatrist a few months ago and he didn't really LISTEN to me cause after I told him he asked me "So how many times do you V* in a day?" and then I had to clarify. But since then he's been GREAT with me. He's a specialist in eating disorders and told me that emet can be classified as one. I'm on anti-anxiety meds and have been since I was like 12...before I even knew what this phobia was called! But I think if you tell your doctor, even if THEY don't know what to do they can refer you to a therapist/psychiatrist that can help. You should go through with the appointment! Really!

That's greay abbey- I hope it works out for you. I just started seeing
someone, and I chose not to get on meds, but I think they are the right
choice for many people, just not for me right now.
