... But I'm going to ask anyway because it will comfort me to know for real. So I was talking to this girl at work today for like 10 mins... at the very end of the conversation, she says she feels nasty and was up all night v* and has "the flu that's going around". I know she goes to the major university about 1 hr from where I live, and there is a flu going around there.. but could I have caught it from her? I mean, she was well enough to be at work.. and joking around with the customers and me (if I were sick, even with a cold, I can't be pleasant. I'm moody or quiet..). and we only talked for 10 mins, and she was on the other side of a counter from me.. and I only touched one thing she touched (but I did mess with my hair after that, and didn't clean my hands for another hr or so until I got to the car and could put my hand sanitizer on). It seems like the likelyhood of me getting sick is low.. but is there still somewhat of a chance? I think my immune system is low now, my eating and sleeping has been bad lately...

I'd say your chances of getting it are zippo.

On a side note, where do yuo live? I only ask because I know Stanford University in NorCal is getting hit pretty hard by sv.

o I live in Washington... it's the University of Washington in Seattle that's having the sv now. hmm I wonder why the sv are hitting the University's so late in the year... maybe stress from midterms or finals or something... thanks for the response
