    Ok i've been on here alot lately and im sorry if annoyed people, but i need to have a little moan!

    Ok so nearly 6 weeks ago, i land upb with this horrible cold, it
    effected my throat, ears, nose and head and i felt crap for about 4
    weeks. So only this week have i been feelin more or less back to myself
    when yday i come down with a cold again! Usually my emune systems
    pretty good but im having my doubts now. I worry if my emune systems
    bad i can pick up something like a sv* quite easily so im worrying.
    Perhaps all this worryin is doing me no favours and thats the reason my
    emune system is low at the moment!

    Im expectin my hayfever to start about now, and yday when i first got
    symptoms of this cold i thought thats what it was. But (not bein crude)
    they say when u have a cold your snot is green compared to it being
    clear when you have hayfever.

    im just feeling pretty low at the moment and i'm supposed to be enjoyin
    this time off work when infact i've had more time to worry over things!
    i've got to go back to work and face someone who had a sv* monday and
    im worried a sv* will be going around when i get back!

    Hi Woodsy,

    Maybe you should take some vitamins to help boost your immune system. I take a Multibionta daily as they have all the probiotics that help your tum as well as being a multivitamin too, also garlic and echinacea are great to boost your immune system. Before when i was getting terrible bouts of tonsillitis i took these vitamin drinks that you make from sachets called Orovite 7 and they really helped to boost my immunity.

    Hope you feel better sonn

    Sounds like you have a chronic sinus infection. My allergist many years ago taught me the "colors of snot"

    Clear/White = Allergies
    Yellowish = Cold
    Green = infection

    How is your diet? Eating healthily is the best boost you can give your immune system.

    I get hayfever and other allergies, so also wonder when I'm starting with a cold if it's the allergies or not.

    Definitely! If I don't eat healthily I seem to catch colds at the drop of a hat, and feel so sluggish. I always aim at getting my five servings of fruit and veg a day. I'm not a big fruit fan so most days will have a fruit smoothie - the 'Innocent' ones are delicious and so good for you!

    If you eat a healthy balanced diet you don't need to take vitamin supplements, and will feel so much better. Also better for your emet as your stomach won't play up as much if you cut down on all the stodge and sweet things, and your immune system will be in top shape, so you will be fully armed against all the bugs/viruses going around!
