My husband got sick with diarreah about 48 hours ago. He said it
came on suddenly and he had to keep going to the bathroom about every
10 or 20 minutes for probably 2 hours then it just quit. He said
his stomach hurt all over and then he was nauseated and fell
asleep. His stomach still hurts, he said it aches like someone
spent all night hittting him in the stomach but he was able to eat
right after the diarreaha and never did throw up or anything.

This morning he said his stomach still ached and he kept getting waves
of nausea but he ate and still didn't get sick. He thinks it was
food poisoning and of course I'm scared to death it's a SV!! He
had eaten a chicken sandwich with mustard about 24 hours before it
started. I keep thinking maybe he's right with how it came on
but I had kissed him that morning before I went to some yard sales and
when I came home about 4 hours later he was sick. I kissed him
that night, too. How long until I'm out of the woods? I
    hate this disorder!!!!

My husband got sick last Friday with vomiting and diarrhea. I have been pretty scared. I've been cleaning and washing my hands A LOT! You supposedly cannot catch it from kissing somebody. Just be sure to wash your hands before you eat or touch your face at all. Not sure how long the person is contagious.

It really does sound more like a food related problemnthan a sv. Just in case - keep washing your hands and keep your hands away from your face. Is he feeling better now?

No. I took him to work but he says it still feels like someone
punched him in the stomach. He's able to eat but he feels rough
    he said.
