Hi everyone. I was wondering if anybody else's intestinal region acts up when its hot outside? It recently just got real hot here over the last couple of days and my guts seem to be acting up. I have this weird feeling, can't really describe it, sort of like a bloated, gassy sick feeling in my guts. My bowel movements have been softer and smellier. Sorry if TMI! I eat a lot of bran cereal just to regulate myself everyday but I know this is not the cause. I was in the heat for quite some time today. Do you think it's possibly heat related or do you think I'm might be coming down with some sort of sv? I know its not period related either.

    Tanya-

I am not sure if its the heat, but I get that way when I am stressed...my bowels get really bad and I get d*, and a TON of gas (I am sooo attractive hahhaa). Even when I am not consiously aware that I am stressed it acts up (like right now even). Sometimes eating too much fruit or veggies does it to me. Try eating really bland for a couple of days and see how it goes. Trust me, I know how uncomfortable it is.

Its been nasty hot here too and yesterday I felt quite weird. It got to
a point where I was feeling rather gross so I just got in the car and
turned on the AC and drove without any reason at all to the mall (air
conditioning!) and hung out there for a bit until the funny feeling
went away. I always feel icky in the first heat. Hope you are feeling
    better.

My husband does that all summer long, exactly as you described, when
out in the heat all day long. The gassy, bloated feeling.
What he does is drink gatorade after he's been outside and that seems
to help. It might be the loss of minerals in your system that
monkeys it up? It seems to help him out. Also, he has so
much acid on his stomach anyway that doesn't help and so he takes
Zantac if it gets bad. Hope this helps.
