Just get a standard multivitamin- that's all you really need, as long as you make sure to eat a balanced diet. I am a vegetarian, and don't have to take any extra supplements.
Don't ignore your fruits and veggies! If you are getting plenty of these (at least 5-10 servings a day), it will go a long way towards keeping you healthy.

RIght now I am still on my prenatal vitamins, but since my baby is already here, I guess I will have to stop them soon (my prescription is due to run out). I am kind of bumbed about it though - I didn't even get so much as a cold last winter and I think it was from the vitamins. I'm scared to face this winter without them. I use the chewable centrums in orange flavor. Make sure you take them with food. Some vitamins and minerals need other components to be able to be absorbed into the body. I forgot which ones. It has been a while since I took that nutrition class. You know, you can google the food pyramid and make a profile. THen you can add all the foods you eat during the day and it will tell you what you are getting too much of and what you need more of. It is pretty cool. The have fast foods in there and everything. You can be as specific as you want or as general. I go all the way right down to chewing gum or candy. Try it out! It is cool! I know they have a different one for canadians but I am not sure for the UK. I was paying attention to that either! Let us know how it goes!
I take daily vitamins, and I also give my kids probiotics and also cranberry supplements. I don't know if it was coincidence, but they were not sick last winter. Yay! Janna
Isn't cranberry supposed to help ward off sv? I think I read that on here.
I should take a vitamin, but I don't normally remember to. I take a liquid acidophilus supplement every day, and give it to my kids, too.
