Right, pretty worried here!

I went round to my next door neibourghs to help feed her twins and other kid, because her husband is away for the night and well to babys under one and a two year old two dogs and a house to run I can see her point..

So, I dont think anyone in the house was ill but I think I swallowed a dog hair

babys were ill but it was just because of the bottle feed, Im just really worried im going to pick something up..

think im just needing a bit of a pick me up because its near christmas im going to be on my own for most of it and I really dont want to be ill

oh i am sure you will be ok. I used to work at a kennel and dogs would
french kiss me by accident and I have definatly ended up with doggie
hair in my mouth. I never knew how it got there but i was fine! You
shall be too!

Yeah, I second what livie</span> said. I've worked in a vet's office too, so you can't imagine how much dog hair I've accidentally inhaled. Don't worry about it, the chances of you catching something that way are less than one in a billion.

I, too, have worked in a vet's office, and have probably ingested many an animal hair, as well as handling and cleaning all kinds of icky things from the animals, and never got sick. I'm sure you will be fine.
Is there anything you can do to relax and take your mind off it?

I really think you are okay!! My friend works in a kennel, and i joined her for a week. We had let the dogs in and out, hose down all of the cages, inside and out, push the *TMI* waste into the drain with squeegees, and basically provide for the dogs. I have had almost everything done to me by dogs that can be done, and I didnt' get sick. Dogs are pretty sanitary animals!!

I'm also pretty nervous about picking something up before christmas, as you very well know. But don't worry, I just try to tell myself that the odds that you will pick something up are about the same as they normally are, and that's not that much. Just wash your hands, and eat healthy!!
