I found some milk chocolate M&Ms today that had been sitting in an old backpack of mine for about a year and a half. They were in one of those large bags and it was still mostly full, though they were already opened. Are they still safe to eat? I don't want to get ill, but I'm also pretty thrifty and I would feel bad throwing them away. I don't see any mold or anything on them, just signs they've been exposed to fluctuating temperatures (household temperatures). My mom's been eating them and she seems fine.

    What does everyone think?

Id be cautious! 1 yr and a half is along time, especially for an open packet!

But if your mum has had them and is fine, then go for it!

Yeah, both my mom and my sister have been eating them and they are fine, so I guess the M&Ms are safe to eat.
