    Default Throat N*

Always wondered what some people mean on here when they've said they have 'throat n*'. NOW I KNOW! I am not freaking out, however... which is another huge step for me. But it doesn't feel great. I never eat mcdonalds and I had a fish fillet sandwich... it was good for the most part but my throat feels like i will v*... My tummy, however, feels just fine... very strange...

    Can anyone explain this?

It feels like the kind of n* that, you don't know you're going to v* until it's too late and I would just die if I did it in public. I am at work right now (I work in an office with 300+ people) and I would be so humiliated if it happened!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling great! I've never experienced throat *n so I don't know how it feels like to go though that, but it certainly doesn't sound very pleasant! *Massive Hugs* I know how you feel regarding *v in public! What might be a good idea, if you can is to have some herbal tea? It may make you feel better! x

Thank you so much for the support and hugs . I don't have any herbal tea here with me but I feel I will be fine as the day goes on. After I posted this I realized that I just started at 75mg dosage of Zoloft where I was taking 50mg as of yesterday. My doctor made me up it today so I think that's where the n* is coming from. Really, I'm not that nervous and everytime i realize that I feel super proud of myself. I just posted a long update in the triumphs/pitfalls section on my thread... can't remember what I named it though.

Throat n* is certainly unique. I do recall having it once, now that I think about it, as a kid (probably 6) and before i even knew I was going to v*, it happened... and I remember laughing because it was so ridiculous. Haha. Gosh how things change! It's hard to believe I once laughed at v*.

Okay thank you for letting me know, I shall take a look xx

Hey hon don't worry about throat nausea. I get it ALL the time, and I've never vomited from it.

I think I might know what you mean. Is that where you get that little "gaggy" sensation in your throat? If so, that happens to me a lot.

I get something similar to this from time to time. It's a feeling like I want to retch that sometimes builds up slowly, or can build up over a few minutes. Usually in my case, it has a trigger like the taste/smell/sensation of certain foods. Anything that's salty and/or greasy can give it to me. Fried chicken does it all the time, as can french fries or sometimes something that just tastes "funny". To get rid of it, I can drink cold or soda water to clear the taste from my mouth and then that wretching sensation goes away. Even just some candy or mint might be enough to clear the taste.
