    Default Advice on therapy

I am rather poor an cant afford to find a therapist but I want to do anything I can to lessen my anxiety. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start some sort of therapy at home on my own to help with emetophobia?

Well Sam, I have therapists since I was 4 and all we do is talk, because talking the therapist knows what's going on and can give us tips to get better. I think a psychiatrist is better to help with emet, as they can give us medications. I've been going to a psychiatrist since I was 9, the medications really help us because they calm us down. Where you you live? The government usually provides psychologists.

If really there is no way to get you therapy, you can always come here and tell us your afairs, it helps. Of course, it isn't the same thing, talking to a therapist and talking to us, but it's better than staying quiet.

Here is something you can try to do at home: Find out why you are emet. And the answer "because I fear v*" doesn't count. Ask yourself WHY you fear v*. I fear it because I can't control it so it makes me weak. Finding this out was very helpful because one week later I got sick and then I could think "Hold on, you'll get better. You won't be weak forever".
Tick tock, time is passing and so is your life. Enjoy it while you can.

Thank you. Maybe I will see what I can do about a psychiatrist or something. Also I live in Indiana, and I will think about why I really have this problem
