Lightbulb Ladies, I want honesty :)

This is for the ladies!! I want complete and utter honestly. I am pregnant... approximately 6 weeks pregnant. I so far have felt pretty good. Not too nauseated and for the most part I am able to keep on going with my day but I know it's still early. I want complete honesty...

    1. What week did morning sickness kick in for you?

    2. Did you have all day nausea, or was it a specific time of day?

    3. Did you throw up and if so how did you handle it?

I want complete honesty and no sugar coating it. I'm sick of the online posts that make morning sickness out to be a death sentence but I also know some people have it that bad. I'm not naive and I realize it could happen but i wanted to see how Emetophobics handle it and if we handle it better or have no control over it or whatever. I do have Zofran but I only get 12 pills every 30 days so it's for emergencies only at this point haha. Thanks ladies!!

Congrats by the way! well my morning sickness started at about 6 weeks and at first it was quite bad when i woke up but i tried to eat some toast or crackers and 95% of the time it settled after that but i only ever vomited once but it is actually quite different to being ill sick but i think its because i had milk and i never have milk but it was scary however its easier to control anxiety as you know what it is and its generally only once. Also i found i felt nauseated if i ate too much or was hungry so it is a good idea to eat little regularly especially when your baby gets big and their is less room for bigger meals. And here's a tip i found really good which was wearing travel bands! i wore them constantly and if you feel a bit nauseous just put them on and 15 minutes later you are feeling better they were literally my life safer and my mum got bad morning sickness when she had me and my twin so when she had my little twin sisters she wore the bands constantly even to bed so when she woke up she was fine! Good Luck i actually miss being pregnant as it was the best feeling ever having a little thing growing inside of you its magical

Thanks I actually am wearing sea bands even though i'm not even really sick yet... I think it's psychological but they make me feel better just knowing i have them on haha.

Hi congrats! My n started at 8 weeks. I never v. It didnt have a specific time of day. When i felt n i would eat a buttered roll, for some reason it helped. I ate what i craved. I didnt worry if it was good for me or not lol about 17 weeks it was gone, then i ate everything! Gained 40 lbs! I had alot of hearburn but my dr said zantac was safe because the tums didnt work. Try not to worry to much. The n is different that n when ur sick. Its more like you are really really hungry. Dont let your stomach get empty, munch on something even if your not that hungry. That helped me control the n. enjoy your pregnancy, it goes fast. Rest when you can and dont hesitate to ask for help as u get bigger. Oh and always call the dr if you feel somethings not right, everyone thought i was crazy when i said i didnt feel right but i ended up on bed rest at 5 months so always trust your gut feeling.

I've been preg quite a few times lol...and the nausea was the worst! especially with the last one (my son)...But i never v*.... i stayed nauseas all day though, tbh..and it sucked so bad. i gagged a couple time but calmed myself down and decided I was okay. Its mind over matter- u can control it all. Its going to be hard during the first trimester..but it'll get better! The best thing tht worked for me when i felt bad, was lemon drop candies- or jolly ranchers. they say anything sour helps! Also, eat frequent small meals, until you are past the morning sickness stage. Then u can eat however much u want/need to! i know I ate everything, lol!! good luck hunny and CONGRATS! babies are awesome blessings

Congrats ! Such an exciting time for you. My N started about 7/8 weeks and lasted till 14 weeks. I never actually got sick or even gagged. No certain time of day just thoughout here and there. I can only remember about 4 times that it was awful most of the time it was just annoying. Don't over eat and don't get hungry. Eat small meals thoughout the day. I kept room temp sprite and saltine crackers on my bedside table and ate a few before I even got up every day. I also wore the sea bands.
